This was photographed at sunset in a very remote part of northern Arizona in the Vermillion Cliffs. I was told by a geologist once that he belives this area once was sand dunes in the Jurassic Period.

This is a stitched panorama, the result of a number of photographs combined to give me this wind angle of view.
