"Big Rock" - Utah
This was photographed in 2011 and processed in 2012. I found this location while driving back to Arizona from some shows I was doing in Colorado. It was photographed south of Moab, Utah.
From the looks of it the big rock in the foreground came from the bluff in the background. Wind and water continue to erode the sandstone beneath the rock and I am sure it will once again continue its path down the hill.
Fortunately I had some great cloud cover for this image. This was a 3-photo HDR that was tonemapped in Photomatix Pro. Nik Software's Viveza 2 and Color Efex Pro 4 were used to complete the processing, along with some edits in Photoshop.
