A Passing Storm

Hail at Arizona Fine Art Expo

A late winter storm moved into Arizona Sunday, dropping temperatures from near 80 the day before to below 50. Here in North Scottsdale we had buckets of rain and high winds, along with thunder, lightning and hail.

I was exhibiting in my booth at the Arizona Fine Art Expo when the storm was at its worst and hail covered the ground outside...and soon to be inside!

We had so much hail that a rain gutter between two tents collapsed from the weight. Fortunately no one was hurt (although it was a close call for me when the hail poured inside - I was standing almost underneath).

Towards sunset we saw some beautiful and unusual cloud formations. The photo below was photographed with my iPhone using the Pro HDR app.
