April 6, 2010
Recently I was going through my archive of photos on my computer. I do this every once in a while, glancing though thousands of images to see if there were any photos I missed during earlier editing sessions. As I was looking, these two images jumped right out. They were photographed in April of 2009. For whatever reason, they never made the edit last year as images I was interested in making fine art prints from.
Photographed in a mission in San Antonio, TX last year, these two photos have quickly become favorites. While seeing them online is nice, seeing the prints in person is remarkable. The detail in the door handle of “The Way” is quite impressive, and the soft warm glow from “Choices” is difficult to appreciate without seeing the print.
Both photos have been added to my online galleries.
This serves as a good reminder to never delete old images and to check out your old photos every once in a while. Digital storage is so cheap these days that there is no reason or excuse to delete those photos you initially thought were not perfect. You may find out sometime in the future that those photos you passed on earlier are just what you were looking for now.
