Today, with temps in the mid 50′s and rain showers, a small group of us artists and other helpers began setting up the tents in North Scottsdale, AZ for the 2010 Arizona Fine Art Expo at the corner of JoMax and Scottsdale Rd.
Starting at 7am, work stopped short due to heavy rainfall at 1:30pm. Framework for two of the three tents were pieced together before we were completely soaking wet and cold from a winter storm that moved into the area.
Work commences tomorrow morning at 7 again. Looks like it could be a wet start to the morning, but we are hopeful for a full day’s work.
The Expo runs for 10 weeks and opens In mid January. Expect more updates here on my blog as setup continues. For more information please visit http://www.arizonafineartexpo.com
Below are photos taken at setup. For a short video with artist Christine Hauber explaining the setup please visit: Video of Setup Day 1

I’ll definitely be checking out the Fine Art Expo this year, especially since I’ve been in the North Scottsdale area looking to buy property within the gated community Sereno Canyon. http://www.serenocanyon.com/
